The Stewarts owned many castles in Scotland over their 400 year reign. They are found from the Shetlands to the Scottish Borders. Just type in "Stewart or Stuart Castles" in Google Search, click on "Images" and see how many come up on your search engine's findings. The Sept's also had castles as found with Clan Boyd and other Sept names many with the land bestowed upon them by the Stewarts for deeds of bravery.
Stalker Castle was mostly used as a hunting lodge.
It is one of the more photographed castles, sitting
off shore on the West coast in Appin Stewart country.
