The Clan Stewart/Stuart Association of Nova Scotia was founded in Halifax, October 17, 2002. The Objects of the Association are as follows:
A) Promote Celtic Culture in NS.
B) Promote Gaelic Language, Celtic Music and History.
C) Encourage youth in Celtic studies, sports, music, etc.
D) Provide opportunity for Clan members to meet and enjoy their Heritage through projects, gatherings and geneology.
E) Compile a geneology bank for researchers.
F) Promote the wearing of the tartan.
G) Show support to other Clans and Scottish Societies
H) Demonstrate leadership, fellowship and friendship.
I) Proud supporters of Tartan Day April 6th. Founded in Nova Scotia in 1986 by the Federation of Scottish Clans in Nova Scotia. A date to remember and cherish our forbearers.
